Non-profit USPS Permit

When doing mass mailings, when using an outside vendor, they’ll require two pieces of information from you (in addition to the addresses) in order to utilize the NC State USPS non-profit mailing permit.
What you’re looking for is a bulk mailing PO and permit # from campus mail services – [email protected]
You can request both of these via this google form.
The permit number should be 2353 (but get them to confirm). Confusingly, the PO number you’ll get from them is also a 4 digit number, which is fun. Your mass mailing vendor then prints the non-profit permit in place of a stamp, takes that to the post office, gives them the PO number, and then USPS bills campus mail services (who then IDTs from your bookkeeper).
You need a new PO number for each project. The permit number should stay the same but if it changes it will be on the PO document provided via the request form.
